London Design Festival 2017 preview
Summer may be winding down in London, but things in the British capital are just hotting up. The London Design Festival (16-24 September) is set to kick off this week, with galleries, museums and studios in all corners of the metropolis poised for action. This year – in addition to popular staples like the Landmark projects and V&A installations – the festival is upping the ante, introducing Mayfair as the newest bustling design hub, as well as the inaugural Design Frontiers exhibition at Somerset House. Chelsea Harbour is a place to learn, design and explore this year. The eclectic, jam-packed line-up at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour spans hands-on workshops and talks from the likes of Patricia Urquiola and Nipa Doshi. The Design Centre is undergoing an expansion, with a host of new showrooms set to join its roster of luxury design players.
