Summer may be winding down in London, but things in the British capital are just hotting up. The London Design Festival (16-24 September) is set to kick off this week, with galleries, museums and studios in all corners of the metropolis poised for action. This year – in addition to popular staples like the Landmark projects and V&A installations – the festival is upping the ante, introducing Mayfair as the newest bustling design hub, as well as the inaugural Design Frontiers exhibition at Somerset House. Design Centre Chelsea Harbour

Chelsea Harbour is a place to learn, design and explore this year. The eclectic, jam-packed line-up at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour spans hands-on workshops and talks from the likes of Patricia Urquiola and Nipa Doshi. The Design Centre is undergoing an expansion, with a host of new showrooms set to join its roster of luxury design players.
