London Design Festival 2017 preview

Summer may be winding down in London, but things in the British capital are just hotting up. The London Design Festival (16-24 September) is set to kick off this week, with galleries, museums and studios in all corners of the metropolis poised for action. This year – in addition to popular staples like the Landmark projects and V&A installations – the festival is upping the ante, introducing Mayfair as the newest bustling design hub, as well as the inaugural Design Frontiers exhibition at Somerset House. From Shoreditch’s hidden pockets to Chelsea’s well-heeled design district, we’ve mapped out the top 20 exhibitions, installations and events not to be missed...

Design Junction

Flourishing creative artery Design Junction returns to King’s Cross for its second year of pop-ups, exhibitions and installations. New projects inside include Wallace Sewell’s inaugural rug collection and a celebration of OMK’s most iconic designs, in addition to an Adam Nathaniel Furman-designed pavilion by Turkish Ceramics in the centre of Granary Square.
