London Design Festival 2014 preview
As London gears up for its annual creative showcase, the finishing touches are being added to exhibitions across the capital. While the V&A remains the London Design Festival hub, events, shows and installations will pepper the city, with new districts like Islington and Queens Park getting in on the action this year, alongside veterans like Clerkenwell and Brompton. With so much to see, navigating it all can be tough. Here, we bring you our edit of the top 20 exhibitions.

‘Masterpiece’ is a collection of nine experimental pieces from young designers (ranging from Tomas Libertiny to Valentin Loellmann) who share the gallery’s optimistic view on what lies ahead for design. Their works explore existential questions and issues through ceramics, marble, carpentry and glassworks. This month also sees the debut of another venture by the gallery: Sixteen, a ‘design charity’ that will develop the craftsmanship skills of disadvantaged youths in Britain.
