To the delight of London’s (somewhat dwindling) contingent of leisurely ladies, wholesome American staple Michael Kors opened the doors of his first UK store on Bond Street yesterday.
With ballsy disregard for the universal downsizing drift, the 2,500 square foot flagship locale is the first launch in a series of planned European openings – set to proliferate Kors’s distinctly stateside style across the continent.
This latest addition to the Kors property portfolio will undoubtedly bolster his international agenda - with roots already laid in Milan and Seoul, alongside several American locations - Kors is doing much to established his name (alongside the Kleins and Laurens of this world) on the Rodeo Drive walk of fame.
The Bond Street store - resplendent in various shades of cream, coffee and cocoa – will act as a fresh platform for the full range of the Michael Kors female line, including accessories, shoes, ready-to-wear and fragrances.
