Mood board: Angela Missoni cleaned things up for spring, sweeping her collection of the usual razzle dazzle and letting her beautiful knits in their purest form do all of the talking. The silhouettes were long and lean – much like the 1990s slip dress or lingerie top jumpsuit – except when they went microscopically small on itty-bitty bikinis that require the body and buns of a female goddess like Gisele.
Best in show: This show was a lovely, pared down Missoni show and it sung best when Angela took the simple shapes and applied her family's brand of optimistic glamour to them. Especially successful was the color blocked segment made up of a striped collage of different Lurex ribbed knits.
Finishing touches: Missoni proposes high, block-heeled mules for strolling poolside in nothing but your tiny bikini but the rest of the footwear – especially the pointed toe, flat mule slippers – was remarkably grounded and great.
