Combining John Pawson’s sleek yet considered, minimalist design and Ian Schrager’s forward thinking hospitality concepts and creative direction, The Residences at The West Hollywood Edition are set to be one of Los Angeles’ most highly anticipated projects to date. The project, which unites private residences with the unparalleled services and amenities of a high class hotel, is a scheme developed jointly by real estate companies Witkoff with New Valley.
The development consists of 20 residences, ranging from one to four bedrooms, which are set on the edge of the leafy West Hollywood hills, on top of the area’s new Edition hotel. Drawing inspiration from the building’s location at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Doheney Drive and the panoramic skyline views of the city, The Residences at The West Hollywood Edition are modern and comfortable, bringing together the best of both worlds – private residential, and boutique hospitality. Among the hotel amenities that will be available to residents are a full-service spa, a fitness centre, valet parking, while they will also have access to the ground level restaurant and top level bar and lounge.
Inside, the luxury apartments feature Pawson’s signature architectural style of pared down, understated luxury, within a seamless, serene and minimalist environment. Warm timber and neutral colours create a welcoming cocoon that opens up towards the vistas and green surrounds. Long terraces wrap around the building, offering plenty of outdoors space to the residents.
The scheme is currently in construction, with completion currently scheduled for late 2018.
