Roberto Cavalli S/S 2015
The Italians are on a roll this season, unleashing collections that show just what magic they can produce when they put their spirited minds to it. Roberto Cavalli is the most quintessential Italian out of all of his fashion colleagues so it was only right that he delivered a spring collection that was on the top end of its game. Cavalli began with billowing, pleated floor grazing gowns with bright, printed horizontal panels that created a beautifully graphic and modern optical effect. The collection was cleaned up throughout and had a spellbinding effect on Cavalli's usual extravagance. There's no other way to explain how a silver-coated crocodile A-line skirt suit managed to look prim, while a pair of black ostrich feather pants paired with a sequin tank top looked perfectly convincing. Key to this designer's success is his incredible craftsmanship. All of his clothes looked like they're worth a million euros. The good news is that they don't cost that much - but one spectacular sequin, crystal and beaded v-neck gown will surely tug at your pursestrings.
