Dsquared2 A/W 2015
Mood board: Hot off the heels of its 20th anniversary celebration in January during men's week, Dsquared2 presented a women's collection that was thumping in a tribal-esque way with its shaggy shearling vests, feather and beaded amulets and graphic blanket ponchos. Taming nature's roar was the duo's signature shrunken tailoring that had a military captain's flair to it.
Best in show: Novelty fur shook up the entirety this collection, but the best piece by far was an enormous coat crafted from an elaborate intarsia of minks and fox, in brown, black and yellow strips with a vertical strip of black and white fur diamonds running down the back like a tribal vertebrae. Meanwhile, the model's head was encased in a huge fox hood fit for an Eskimo.
Finishing touches: The girls were piled with product including enormous dripping rhinestone chandelier earrings, nylon Ikat tights that created tattoos for the legs and fox-tufted sky high stilettos tied up in sexy leather laces.
