Library — London, UK
Offering respite from the bustling chaos in London’s Covent Garden is a new members’ club, Library, which provides a haven for the city’s aspiring literary and design communities. Interiors by Marc Peridis of local outfit 19 Greek Street are eclectic and colourful featuring classic pieces restored by the firm’s social enterprise, Out of the Dark, which helps disadvantaged youth find a place in society. Expect an ongoing programme of literary talks, book readings and cultural events or simply ensconce yourself in one of the many cosy book-filled spaces with a tipple from the Whiskey and Wine room. The soon-to-launch adjoining Kitchen – which will also be open to the public – will serve up a menu inspired from the latest published cookbooks, while a small gym and six guestrooms further emphasize entrepreneur Ronald Ndoro’s concept of a home away from home.
