As summer draws to a close, London braces itself for a rush of activity, biggest – and most exciting – of all: its annual creative showcase. This year’s festivities stretch across the capital, from the London Design Festival hub at the V&A, to the newly baptised London Design Fair in the east, alongside veterans like Clerkenwell and Brompton, by way of new district Brixton, and a few other surprises along the way. (Not to mention the inaugural London Design Bienniale, which will take place simultaneously, too!) Manufacturers from the northern Italian location of Trentino are getting a moment in the limelight at London Design Fair. In a new project they have teamed up with British designers Max Lamb, Sebastian Cox, Lucy Kurrein and Giles Miller to produce innovative pieces that use the local materials and techniques.
