London Design Festival 2016 preview
As summer draws to a close, London braces itself for a rush of activity, biggest – and most exciting – of all: its annual creative showcase. This year’s festivities stretch across the capital, from the London Design Festival hub at the V&A, to the newly baptised London Design Fair in the east, alongside veterans like Clerkenwell and Brompton, by way of new district Brixton, and a few other surprises along the way. (Not to mention the inaugural London Design Bienniale, which will take place simultaneously, too!) To make navigating London’s design wonders infinitely more enjoyable we’ve put together an edit of the top 20 exhibitions, events and installations, just for you…

The aptly titled installation by London architect Alison Brooks takes the form of a minimal smile, produced in collaboration with American Hardwood Export Council and Arup. With her cross-laminated wood installation, the walkable structure will offer visitors a new perspective on the city.
