London Design Festival 2016 preview
As summer draws to a close, London braces itself for a rush of activity, biggest – and most exciting – of all: its annual creative showcase. This year’s festivities stretch across the capital, from the London Design Festival hub at the V&A, to the newly baptised London Design Fair in the east, alongside veterans like Clerkenwell and Brompton, by way of new district Brixton, and a few other surprises along the way. (Not to mention the inaugural London Design Bienniale, which will take place simultaneously, too!) To make navigating London’s design wonders infinitely more enjoyable we’ve put together an edit of the top 20 exhibitions, events and installations, just for you…

Up to three people will fit onto Studio Myerscough’s kinetic swing installation at once, but that won’t be the only reason the graphic display will catch the eye of passers-by as they transverse the tranquil lobby of The Bulgari Hotel. Combining product with motion, and creating powerful statements in the process, the swing will also act as a prelude to ’Designer Maker User’, a new permanent exhibition created for London’s forthcoming Design Museum which will open its doors in late November.
