Acne Studios A/W 2016
All the latest from the City of Light including Acne Studios, Junya Watanabe, Elie Saab and Comme des Garçons

Mood board: Blown up as if by helium, the Acne Studios collection worked every angle of high volume, from its huge wide-leg pants and heavy wool coats clamped by thin metal ring belts to even its over the knee boots.
Best in show: Not a lot of this show could actually make it off the runway and onto the real way, but bright leopard prints transformed much of the heavy wools into cool pieces, including those funny big boy pants.
Finishing touches: The brief at Acne seems to be the weirder the better. So this season the models wore shoes that looked like leather rafts under foot and over-the-knee boots that had the yardage and functional properties of hard core fisherman's waiters. Also on hand? Sandals and handbags strung up by thick sailor rope.
