Eyewear of the finest 1950s-inspired variety is what you’ll find at Han Kjobenhavn. Located off Stroget and up a flight of stairs, the pocket-sized showroom also doubles up as the studio of the two young designers who launched the label in May 2008. They’ve since gone on to achieve underground stardom in a cult elite of the snappiest dressers, including Kanye West.
Their mission is simple: to create timeless, handmade specs, available as sunglasses or normal frames, transparent or hand-painted in muted colours to complete the luxury, vintage look. The boxes they come in are every bit as spectacular and even the little concertina catalogue is beautifully designed, pitching each model from the current collection like a 1950s Lonely Hearts entry.
