Wallpaper’s view over London’s changing cityscape
When it comes to watching London’s changing cityscape, we have front row seats at Wallpaper* HQ in Southwark, as our editor-in-chief Tony Chambers mentions in our July issue (out now). Emerging right beneath our noses is Herzog and de Meuron’s new Tate Modern Project, which will be a towering new exhibition and learning space for the existing gallery.

Looking over to the right, we can spot Renzo Piano’s glass Shard - the site of our July Architects Directory shoot - racing towards its ultimate 87 stories. And glancing a little to the left, our eyes are drawn to the final stages of Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners’ Neo Bankside development. So, we thought we’d let you see what we’ve been gawping over the last 18 months.
Spotting the promise in the emerging Neo Bankside, we had to get in on the act. We chose it as the location to launch our bespoke design service, Wallpaper* Composed, charging our interiors team Benjamin Kempton and Amy Heffernan to orchestrate a duet of perfectly counter-pointed pieds-a-terre.
