Manchester’s residential regeneration continues apace. Not only is its infamous Haçienda club being turned into apartments, but it is getting a brand new landmark tower.
The Hilton Beetham Tower, by local player Ian Simpson, will be the tallest residential building in Europe when it is completed next year.
The 219 apartments start at level 25, above a ‘sky bar’, various stores and the hotel itself. Not sitting on their heels, the same architects are also behind yet another Manchester apartment building, a sculptural glazed structure at 2-4 Chester Road.
