Emporio Armani S/S 2016
Mood board: Giorgio Armani was in an extravagant mood for spring at his younger label Emporio Armani, where the designer dipped into flou, flounce and fluttering hems along with his signature tailoring. Also funky was the pastel-pink palette executed in a series of transparent, voile-like materials.
Best in show: We love it when Mr. Armani sticks to what he does better than anyone: sharp, cool suiting. This season he tantalised us with a pantsuit look crafted from a meaty pink canvas, adorned with small, white stars. It sounds overly girly but in reality hit just the right beat of urban cool.
Accessories: There plenty of new accessories on show this season, but the best of the lot were the simplified slingback shoes. Our top two choices included a pointed toe, slingback shoe crafted from sheer material with black detailing and a black woven leather flat slingback with a brown leather cap-toe.
