Mood board: Designer Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski made her debut as the new creative director at Hermès with a collection that slid seamlessly into the classic canons of this revered French maison. Luxuriously simple, and yet carefully considered, the collection centered around easy daywear pieces such as long-sleeved knit dresses, saddle-back trapeze shaped coats and ultra minimal leather trousers.

Best in show: The collection was very nearly print-free, but cropped jackets and roomy coats in inky navy or brick red were given surface interest with beautiful rectangular intarsias of tone on tone calfskin or lambskin configured next to buttery cashmere or suede panels.

Finishing touches: Flat crocodile booties in navy or bone featured monk strap closures, while the newest bag of the season is shaped like a small, flat stop sign with a rigid handle.
