Next on the burgeoning list of pop-ups this month is a new treasure trove of Scandinavian style in London's Knightsbridge. For three weeks, The Modern Danish Warehouse will be offering a carefully edited selection of 20th Century furniture.
Brought to us by Norwegian furniture specialist, Nina Hertig, the warehouse will sell vintage chairs, tables, sideboards and sofas, with prices ranging from £100 to £1,500. All purchases can be taken home immediately.
To show the continuing tradition of cabinetmaking in Scandinavia, young Danish furniture designer, Anders Folke Andersen, will be setting up his workshop in the warehouse and make his tables on site. And Studiomama designer, Nina Tolstrup, will be showing The Pallet project (shortlisted for Brit Insurance Designs of the Year 2010 Awards), in which she industriously constructs simple furniture out of reclaimed pallets.
The Modern Danish Warehouse's temporary home will be the Art Deco Garage in North Terrace, SW3. The pop-up shop will run from 6 – 27 March.
