Whilst charity auctions provide an exhilarating chance to raise funds for a worthy cause - it’s not all about giving. The lucky few who make it through to the final card flashes also make it home with a one-off win. So, if owning an Emin or snapping up a Zaha appeals, then the upcoming Art for Architecture is an event not to be missed.

Taking place in the stunning surrounds of West London’s Louise T Blouin Foundation this Thursday, the auction has been organised by built-environment charity Article 25.

With 29 unique items on offer from an equal number of select contributors - lots include hand sketches and objets d’art by architects and artists ranging from Lord Foster (one of the charity's trustees) and Zaha Hadid to Toyo Ito, Tadao Ando, Tracey Emin, Anthony Gormley and Douglas Gordon.

Dedicated to improving living conditions for people across the globe and taking its name from the 25th article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights – Article 25 is as worthy a charity as any, with all proceeds from this month’s event going towards the building of new schools, health centres and homes for those in need around the world.

For a sneak peek of the goods on offer, see the auction’s catalogue on Article 25’s website.
