Dior’s Grand Soir Aquarelle watch says it with flowers
This elegant Dior watch depicts Christian Dior’s favourite flowers

Translating the magic of a fairytale garden into an horological fantasy, while also giving a nod to Christian Dior’s horticultural passions, is this Dior watch, the dreamily indulgent Grand Soir Aquarelle. In this timepiece, the designer’s love for flowers and gardens – in particular, the rose and jasmine plants in his south of France home, Château de la Colle Noire – is translated into a timepiece that will make an elegant alternative to a traditional bouquet. Flowers, seen in every aspect of Dior’s expression, from haute couture embroidery to show sets and men’s clothing, here permeate time itself.
Under the glass blooms a white gold and pink gold flower, its petals studded with round-cut pink sapphires and tinted glass in a play on volume that adds layers of detail to the watch face. Pear-cut and round-cut diamonds drift across a fabric dial that looks to have been daubed with a paintbrush, with the paint blossoming over the face and infusing the white leather watch strap with colour.
Dior watch for bridal elegance
Add this Dior watch to a bridal look for a modern take on matrimonial elegance. For further wedding inspiration, let us introduce Weddingpaper*, Wallpaper’s first dip into nuptial nirvana, as seen in the October 2021, 25th Anniversary Issue and across Wallpaper.com. Forget the conventional and the staid; here, tradition comes with a twist and frou frou frills with a velvet blue mule.
Whether it’s pairing the cool metal hues of a rose gold wristwatch with the billowing folds of an In-Grid Bride gown, or juxtaposing a luminescent Mikimoto pearl brooch against the mischievous polka dots of a Dunhill shirt, brides and grooms are sure to find something style wise to love. Wedding guests, too, take note: our chic and sculptural guide to timeless gifting puts the days of mismatched china long behind us, making for a very modern take on wedded bliss.
