Composer and pianist Rosey Chan, who is known for her 2010 album ‘One’, has collaborated with filmmaker and screenwriter Mike Figgis to create a film dedicated to ClientEarth, featuring the original composition, ‘Adagio for Planet Earth’.
A group of activist lawyers, ClientEarth are dedicated to protecting the environment through ‘advocacy, litigation and science’. In this film, dancers from London's Central School of Ballet don gas masks on the streets of London, one of the most polluted areas in the United Kingdom.
The decision to include only young performers draws attention to one of the largest groups affected by pollution – children. The composition complements the movement of the young tribe as they navigate the capital in dystopian masks.
