Fab 40: Love Shack, Lake District

Located in a private woodland in Cumbria, with views of Lake Windermere, the Love Shack is a small timber-clad house designed by the celebrated Edinburgh-based architects Sutherland Hussey.
Developed by Karen Guthrie and Adam Sutherland (brother of the architect), it was built as a labour of love to, in the words of Guthrie, 'change local perceptions of architecture'.
Contemporary design such as this is certainly a new arrival in the Lake District, but such has been its success that surely more must follow.
