No 21 S/S 2020 Milan Fashion Week Women's

Mood board: Before Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s first combined men’s and women’s S/S 2020 show, guests received a transparent plastic slip case as an invitation, featuring a pair of gauzy nude underpants inside. For a designer who flirts seductively with lingerie tones, transparent gauzy layers and the idea of undergarments becoming sensual outer layers, it was a fittingly flirtatious show invitation. His spring offering hit a more romantic and floral-detailed note that in recent seasons, and featured dainty Victorian prints splashed on sharp suiting and chiffon dresses, featured alongside androgynous Bermuda shorts in black, peach and jewel-like ermerald, paired with rhinestone-smattered sweatshirts, and sleeveless shirts.
Best in show: Silhouettes were deconstructed to reveal slivers of skin. A suit jacket in pretty wildflower florals, was slashed at the shoulders like a cape, gauzy shirt sleeves trailed on dresses embellished with Twenties bows and pleated skirts, formed from swishy layers of leather and silk were layered with body hugging knitted jumpers with unbuttoned asymmetrically across the body.
Finishing touches: Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s take on glamour and glitz always has a rebellious, seductive edge. For spring models stomped the catwalk in ankle strap heels with hyperbolically chunky heels, sparkling with diamantes.
