Moodboard: Jonathan Anderson’s sophomore outing for Loewe menswear played out in the same intimate atmosphere of the house's Left Bank HQ surrounds, albeit with a new confidence and diversity in a collection of covetable items that once again held coherence in their disparity. Anderson’s opulent retro trip held all the welcome strangeness of proportions we have come to expect from the designer, however so subtly styled as to warrant a closer look time and time again. A Nylon bomber? No, it’s kangaroo. Flannel flares? Actually knit. But his way with a suede trench coat won’t confuse anyone – its simply sumptuous.

Best in Show: Although shearling has well and truly had its day in the sun, the way Anderson sunk the looping Loewe motif into a cream sheepskin tote had us dreaming of a wintry Spanish seaside picnic with one of those mohair Valgañón blankets in tow.

Finishing touches: Rather ornamental than spatial, Anderson chose to exhibit a selection of sculptural brooches designed by Spanish jeweller Ramón Puig Cuyas, furthering the Modernist context of the collection. Handmade in enamel, silver and more unexpected materials like alpaca, they have also inspired the season’s prints.
