Luxury home décor brand L'Objet opens its first retail store in New York's West Village
Elad Yifrach, the former interior designer behind the luxury home décor brand L’Objet, has opened his first brick-and-mortar location in Manhattan, at 370 Bleecker Street in the West Village. 'I wanted to connect with the customer base in a way that is different than our uptown point of sales and presenting a different point of view,' said Yifrach, who was drawn to the neighborhood for its sophisticated, relaxed vibe.
Yifrach designed the 1,200-sq-ft concept shop 'as a textured jewel box with a refined, yet casual, aesthetic that will appeal to all five senses'. Aside from L’Objet’s range of tabletop items, the retail location will carry objects that have the same sensibility as the brand. Yifrach scoured the globe for pieces with exceptional craftsmanship, like throws from Spain and Peru, Fortuny pillows and objects made with exotic skins. He also sourced glass by Jochen Holz and Lobmeyr, along with rare vintage books and furniture.
L’Objet’s new design store is the perfect location for the discerning aesthete
The retail store will also dedicate an entire section to its apothecary range. Made from raw materials and essential oils, and developed by brand perfumer Yann Vasnier, the collection comprises three fragrances: 'Rose Noire', 'Côte Maquis' and 'Bois Sauvage'. All of these come in a hand and body wash, hand and body lotion, bath salts, bar soap and room spray. So whether it’s a unique gift, a beautiful object or flatware for your dining table that you want, L’Objet’s new hub has a bit of everything for the discerning aesthete.
The shop showcases artisanal gifts, selected glassware, soft goods and tabletops items carefully handpicked by L’Objet’s creative director, Elad Yifrach
