London City Island townhouses reveal their contemporary interiors

A series of contemporary, light filled townhouses, set in a row facing the water on a little island. This setting may not instantly evoke ‘London’, yet this is exactly where developers EcoWorld Ballymore are busy planning their latest venture. London City Island is located on the ever-developing east part of town, a stone's throw from Canary Wharf and London City Airport and represents one of the region's fastest growing neighbourhoods on the Leamouth Peninsula.
Now, the developers, in collaboration with interior designers Amos & Amos, are launching a series of seven striking townhouses on the island, introducing further housing options on the ‘culturally-inspired' scheme, which, come 2020 is also set to become the new home for the English National Ballet headquarters.
The seven new-build structures stand out, clad in vibrant red brick. The interiors promise to be modern, yet homely, each featuring expansive living spaces, a private ground front terrace and dedicated parking space. Varying in size, the largest spans six storeys and even has its own private lift. Oak flooring, marble details and bespoke cabinetry ensure the interiors respond to the highest standards of contemporary luxury.
‘The Townhouses at City Island marked a real opportunity to create unique design-led living spaces which build upon the Island’s boldness and creativity, whilst simultaneously referencing the site’s rich industrial past', says Amos & Amos co-founder, Jaki Amos. ‘We have worked closely with EcoWorld Ballymore across a number of design projects at City Island and it has been both exciting and rewarding to see the development evolve, with the Townhouses being the latest design landmark to be introduced to the Island.'
