With the sun, sea and sand already on its doorstep, it's hard to imagine the denizens of Malibu Beach wanting anything else. For good measure, Soho House has opened Little Beach House Malibu, a petite club laid over two floors with views of the town's Carbon and Surfrider beaches. Filled with large windows and retractable doors throughout, the venue’s natural assets easily sell themselves.

A breezy bar offering food and cocktails serves as an ideal venue for work and meetings, while the oceanfront dining room doles out fresh Californian fare from its open-plan kitchen to keep members satiated. Working and dining is also available on a shaded outdoor terrace, decked out with couches and lounge chairs, as well as changing rooms for those coming in from the beach.

Upstairs, an indoor sitting room is well armed with another bar and two more terraces for outdoor seating. Conceived by design director Vicky Charles iin conjunction with Montalba Architects, the club's aesthetic features an original teak wood frame that has been painted white. The inviting spaces are also highlighted with natural textures and an oceanic palette of blue, green and grey. Concrete floors boast brass inlays while local succulents and wild grasses bring a touch of natural whimsy indoors.
