Split over five dedicated zones, the department houses the world’s premium brands and products, inviting visitors to multisensory experience rooms and event spaces. At the Imaging Zone, Harrods has curated a collection of professional and personal photography technology from the likes of Canon, Nikon, Sony and GoPro, and hosts the Leica Akademie and masterclass room. At the Connectivity Zone, you will find the finest tech from ‘work smart’ and ‘easy life’ pioneers Google, Huawei, Alexa and Philips Hue.
The Computing & Gaming Zone is next-level stuff: the world’s most elegantly designed, technologically advanced computers and virtual reality devices from Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, HP, Dell, Oculus and more. Finally, the Vision Zone raises the bar for imagery and design with a showcase of the latest OLED screens – the future of viewing enjoyment and the greatest advancement in premium TV display technology. To celebrate the opening of the new department, the Wallpaper*interiors team collaborated with Harrods to conceive a luxurious environment within the store that integrated the dual aesthetics of tech and design. A film short, shot by the Wallpaper* creative team, cast a fashionable tech customer who wakes up alone in the deserted store before making this unique living environment her home and play space for the evening. In addition, Wallpaper* also created a tech- and design-themed Harrods window display.
Pairing premium audio-visual, imaging and computer products by Leica, Linn, Bang & Olufsen, Master & Dynamic, Samsung and VIFA with specially selected furniture, lighting and accessories by Gallotti & Radice, Poltrona Frau and Flos, the collaboration perfectly highlights the nexus between contemporary design and technology.
