Venice Architecture Biennale 2018 preview
The 16th international architecture exhibition of the Venice Biennale, running from 26 May to 25 November, is curated by architects Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara who selected the theme ‘Freespace’ for the event. As well as the main exhibition located at the Giardini and the Arsenale including 71 participants, this year there are the 63 national pavilions – as well as a host of other architectural and cultural events happening across Venice. Visit Palazzo Grassi during the Venice Architecture Biennale for a series of special events around Tadao Ando’s ongoing transformation of the former Bourse de Commerce in Paris into a new permanent space for the Pinault Collection, to open in 2019. Offerings include free-guided tours of Ando’s works in Venice, Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana, and the wider Veneto region.
