Combining exceptional art and architecture with distinguished wines, Napa Valley’s latest opening, Hall Winery in St Helena, follows on the success of Kathryn and Craig Hall’s Rutherford winery. Avid wine and art enthusiasts, the couple enlisted sustainable architects Jarrod Denton and Alison Maloney to design a minimal space, allowing the region’s rich history and rural setting to take centre stage. Interiors and furnishings are by San Francisco-based Nicole Hollis who was inspired by some of the raw textures by artist Richard Serra and decked out the stone, steel and glass structure with lighting by Ingo Mauer. Décor in the cellar is equally rigorous, with a chandelier by Tristiano di Robilant and a vast 13m table.
