In Los Angeles, there is no shortage of swish boutique hotels and well-appointed property rentals serving the design-savvy traveller, but celebrated local furniture designer Stephen Kenn has launched a new micro-hotel concept with the aim to create an intimate setting to experience his work, while catering to the fickle LA crowds in a fresh and personal way.

Located adjacent to his studio in the hip Arts District, the 160 sq m loft space is decked out in Kenn's signature handcrafted, industrial style. At check-in a personal tour by Kenn himself takes you around some of his coveted furniture pieces and the impressive products developed specifically for the space, from lighting with Allied Maker to a custom bed with Hästens and gym equipment with Japanese fitness company Itani Athletic.

Also available are personalised experiences, such as private access to local design showrooms, galleries and curated dinners hosted in the Loft itself – perfect for visitors who want inside access to LA's thriving design scene.
