In the Czech village of Čeladná, among the bucolic forests and meadows and, against a backdrop of the looming Beskydy Mountains, Mezi Plůtky is the latest venture from hotel and restaurant owner Daniela Hradilová – who is also behind a number of popular offerings in nearby Ostrava.
Set within a dreamy countryside house dating from the 19th century, the four-room property has been restored by Hradilová, who wanted to create a personal and authentic vibe. As such, original stone floors and timber-beamed ceilings set the tone for a simple, homey design of Scandinavian-style furnishings and free-standing bathtubs in natural materials and a low-key brown, grey and white colour palette.
The public spaces comprises an open plan living room and kitchen, where guests can sit around the fire or the large oak table to sip on Austrian and South Moravian wines or Czech beer while nibbling on light, healthy food using only local ingredients.
