Tender2 by Royal Botania — Knokke-Heist, Belgium

Overlooking the vast North Sea and sitting on the white sandy shores of Knokke-Heist beach in Belgium, is a two-storey ephemeral hotel named Tender2 by Belgian designers Royal Botania. Despite the fact it could pass as a large shipping container from afar, the hotel is a lesson in complete luxury and seclusion. In the comfort of their own holiday home, guests can enjoy the private sandy beach, jacuzzi, 24/7 butler service and indulgent breakfasts from chocolatier Patrick Roger, and evening meals are prepared by Michelin star chef, Laury Zioui of Belgium restaurant L'eveil des sens. The interior, which is adorned with minimalist, contemporary furniture provided by Royal Botania, is simple and uncluttered, featuring some of the brand's most recognisable products, including its commended sheltered hammocks, Surf and Wave. Only open until 15 September, here's hoping the hotel relocates somewhere equally spectacular as Knokke-Heist next summer.
