Jacqueline Rabun, London

From her Belgravia atelier, the London-based jewellery designer Jacqueline Rabun creates quietly composed pieces, infusing each with the understated sophistication of her native California.
At times, her self assurance is breathtaking as evidenced by her classic Look and Open collection which features pendants that, when pieced together, form the outline of a stylised ancient Egyptian eye. But then again, it occurs to you that you would expect nothing less from a long collaborator of Georg Jensen.
For fans of Jacqueline Rabun who are either based abroad or are unable to muster the energy to hike over to Belgravia, the ever-thoughtful jeweller has added a virtual store to her website. Each piece is catalogued under either the name of the collection, the type of jewellery (cufflinks, necklaces, rings, charms, bracelets, earrings and so on) or material (white and yellow gold, silver and sterling silver).
Click on a particular piece, and all pertinent details like the specs, quantity available and sizes appear. From there, it’s just a matter of clicking ‘Purchase’ or continue browsing.
In short, Rabun ensures the shopping experience on her site is as methodically time efficient or haphazard as you please. It’s a difficult balancing act to pull off, but Rabun (or, rather, her web designer) succeeds admirably. As online shops go, we just found another one to add to our list of favourites.
