Fendi S/S 2017
Mood board: Karl Lagerfeld's muse this season at Fendi was a modern rococo girl who likes her hems hiked up high and her frou flouncing around her like a cascading pastel cloud. The mood was sugary and light even when Lagerfeld worked with gorgeous stiff floral jacquards on exquisite pouf circle skirts and sweeping dresses.
Best in show: Though we spied a couple of terrific fur intarsias with intricate floral scenes, our favorite part of this collection were the graphic stripes which jazzed up everything from pinch-waisted canvas blouse jackets to leather balloon pants and even crop-top knit sweaters.
Finishing touches: Those stripes reappeared on happy-looking knee socks worn with trainers or stretch calf length boots laced with grosgrain ribbon. Also new this season was the new Kan bag that comes crusted with a smattering of candy colored studs.
