Hunter Original S/S 2016
Scene setting: The world's most iconic festival shoe brand exported the Glastonbury experience direct to London Fashion Week for S/S 2016. With a Ripstop tent erected as the show’s backdrop and a muddy runway under foot, creative director Alasdhair Willis set the scene for the ultimate festival adventure – from the comfort of our seats.
Mood board: For spring, Driza-Bone and denim jacket archetypes got a utility rejig courtesy of myriad flap pockets, as waterproof rubber macs were stamped with rather Mod-ish silver eyelets. Ombre anoraks and matching wellies added to the Technicolour festival spirit, their fading hues inspired by the English sun setting over the fields.
Finishing touches: Hunter sneakers, Clog-style slip-ons and thigh-high mud protecting boots were new to the off-road mix, along with spacey silver bomber jackets (decorated with iron-on badges) and laminated, brush stoke camo parkas, which were finished with streamers and destined for the main stage after dark.
