Scene setting: Despite being staged outdoors in the plaza of Lincoln Center on one of the coldest days in New York City of the past decade, Moncler kicked its presentation off with a riveting performance by a dance troupe marching in various formations with true military precision.

Mood board: The weather couldn't have been a more appropriate backdrop for Moncler's procession of fashion forward winter wear, fur-laden snow boots and quilted ski jackets that all embraced a coquettish, retro silhouette.

Best in show: A series of colourful houndstooth and windowpane checked prints gave Moncler's signature styles a fresh fashion slant.
