Marco de Vicenzo A/W 2016

Mood board: Marco de Vincenzo went on a wild romp for A/W turning his magnificent talent as a colourist onto striped knitwear and, more extravagantly, on increasingly alternative materials such as a wacky tinsel-like fabric that wrapped around the models like huge swaths.
Best in show: The opening looks featuring bright bouclé sweater jackets and slim pencil skirts in 3D quilted chiffon hit just the right note between retro-loving, granny-chic women and their skip-about-town girlish alter egos. Also fabulous were the giant pleated palazzo pants in thick heavy velvet.
Finishing touches: The footwear was as fantastic as it was fancy; tightly frilled and ruffle-trimmed leather mules were worn with holey knit stockings and laced up with silk ribbons.
