Bottega Veneta S/S 2016

Mood board: Tomas Maier was in the mood to chill for spring, describing his collection as 'a journey back to nature, when it's time for a spiritual rest'. Maier's casual vibe, as usual, went down like a springtime tonic. He spiked simple sportswear shapes with special silk wallpaper stripes, quilting fabrics and rippling sand dune patterns.
Best in show: Nobody cuts a better high end sweat pant than Maier who somehow manages to make sports trousers look crisp and official enough for an office.
Finishing touches: Fluttering stripy suits were brought down to the ground with hefty hiking boots with red soles and bright yellow laces. All of the accessories had an outdoor excursion bent to them - especially the leather and canvas backpacks and duffles.
