Giorgio Armani S/S 2015
Stripes ruled the runway on the final day of Milan fashion week

Giorgio Armani closed Milan's menswear week with a bang. Italy's maestro delivered the tailoring he's known for in a sharp, clean package without any unnecessary tricks or trimmings. The palette was a delicious mix of piercing white and inky navy, mixed with the occasional peacock green or brick red that materialised as coin dots covering a white linen shirt (and worn chicly with slim black pants). The silhouette was dominated by a folded pleat front trouser that was loose around the hips and tapered down to a cropped ankle. Though he issued oversized crocodile satchels or leather envelopes to most of his models, the overall look was stripped of any unnecessary extras, allowing great clothes to pop into focus. Our favourite were the navy cotton poplin suits featuring cardigan style shirts and a terrific lace-front leather strap sandal.
