Arquitectura-G

Barcelona-based practice Arquitectura-G was set up in 2007 soon after its four founders - Jonathan Arnabat, Jordi Ayala-Bril, Igor Urdampilleta and Aitor Fuentes - graduated from the UIC Barcelona School of Architecture. ‘Our biggest influence comes from designs that propose a pleasant and sensual way of living; a balance between clean and strong geometries and a sophisticated approach to everyday life issues’, they explain, taking inspiration from ‘certain attitudes rather than by specific formal languages.’ This approach becomes apparent in their growing body of work, and most notably in ‘Casa Luz’, a residential redesign, which won the firm the prestigious 2015 Mies Van der Rohe Award for Emerging Architects.
