Helveticookies by Beverly Hsu

Thought up by graphic designer Beverly Hsu, in response to a ‘love for both design and food’, these Helvetica cookie cutters are the ultimate typographic treat.
Unveiled at a design show during her senior year at Pennsylvania’s Carnegie Mellon University, Hsu’s unique kitchen utensil has since received plenty of attention – with biscuit fans around the world placing orders.
Produced by wrapping sheet aluminum around an acrylic letterform, Hsu plans to churn out as many cookie cutters as she can to meet demand.
That said, typographic purists may raise an eyebrow or two - Hsu was forced to use Helvetica Bold for the frame, because, as she sensibly put it, ‘thinner cookies would probably burn in the oven.’
