Sweet talk: Solange Azagury-Partridge’s jewellery speaks
The Hotscripts collection of rings spell out female archetypes in glossy, bold colour
We all make subtle statements with the jewellery we choose to wear, but sometimes a more direct approach is needed. Solange Azagury-Partridge agrees, and has got straight to the point with her Hotscripts collection.
An extension of her Hotlips collection – which casts bright sterling silver lips as rings – Azagury-Partridge now imagines what they would say if they could talk.
‘I have wanted to expand my Hotlips range for a while now, and these Hotscripts are the perfect extension of their story. Hotlips are so full of personality and it seemed like an obvious idea that I hadn’t exploited fully. So Hotlips are calling out to their girlfriends to join the party,’ she says.
The familiar bright colours of the Hotlips collection are here in the shades of neon pink, banana yellows and hot reds. ‘I love the saturated intense glossy colours that can be achieved using lacquer and it’s a brilliant additional colour palette for me to use in my jewellery. I enjoy wearing a mix of precious jewellery with an obviously unreal colour beside it. Both items are subsequently enhanced by the other,’ she explains.
Azagury-Partridge has fun with female archetypes in the words she has chosen: ‘They can be quite mood specific. You can be "bitch" one day and an "angel" another.’
