Renaissance Paris République Hotel — Paris, France

Renaissance Hotels has blossomed into an industry heavyweight, thanks to its intuitive line-up of global properties that have successfully tapped into the modern business traveller’s needs for new and authentic experiences.
The latest outpost to open its doors - the sixth for Paris – is fashionably located in La République, the city’s new ‘it’ district, steps from the vibrant neighbourhood of Le Marais and Canal Saint Martin.
The seventies building, a former home for travelling artists, has been given the once-over by designer Didier Gomez who executed the brand’s new indigenous design philosophy by paying tribute to the diversity of the French capital. ‘Everything including the reception desks recalling China, African-style fabrics, grey stone quarried in France and local furniture and artworks, points to the ‘real’ multicultural Paris,’ explains Gomez.
Indeed, furnishings from French design legends Jean Prouvé and Charlotte Perriand dot the public spaces, while natural woods and earthy tones in the 121 guest rooms are punctuated with eye-catching African prints. There is a restaurant serving classic French dishes as well as a cocktail bar and a spa, but the showstopper are the upper suites with unbeatable rooftop views.
