Gieves & Hawkes’ A/W 2013 collection comes to life in ’A Link Through Time’
Watch the short film by Gieves & Hawkes creative director Jason Basmajian and Oscar-nominated director Mike Figgis
Top tailor Gieves & Hawkes has teamed up with British director Mike Figgis to showcase its A/W 2013 collection in an intriguing short film, entitled ‘A Link Through Time’. Set in Yorkshire’s historical Harewood House – home to the Lascelles family for more than five centuries – we’re introduced to the film’s mysterious model protagonist as he pulls up to the grounds in a 1950s Jaguar XK150. The flawless Chippendale interiors of the Robert Adam-designed manor form the backdrop to elegant looks plucked from the Savile Row tailor’s Fall collection, featuring hand-cut contemporary tweed suits, luxurious Shetland overcoats and the house’s signature midnight blue evening wear. The film is accompanied by an original score by Rosey Chan.
