Miu Miu A/W 2016

Mood board: Pull out the denim and roll out your old carpets because Miu Miu is bringing both back heavily for winter. The loaded on looks this season were as quirky and weird as ever with a jumble of styles, hemlines, materials, and even centuries jumping all over the place in typical eccentric style.
Best in show: The denim was a cool idea but not always as convincing as it could be. Better was Miss Miuccia's rich take on heavy carpets and ornate upholsteries, which she cut into beautiful opera coats, cool cropped jackets and sweeping long skirts.
Finishing touches: Remember the shaggy colourful rugs from the 1970s? Well those got cut up this season and fashioned into flat shower slides that came crusted in piles of giant pearls. For the more ladylike looks, there were pin thin stiletto heels with button taps and giant back bows
