Liberty of London and Milanese concept store 10 Corso Como have become fashion bedfellows this month with the launch of their limited edition capsule collection for spring/summer 2010.
10 Corso Como founder, Carla Sozzani, called on American artist, Kris Ruhs, to reinterpret Liberty’s 'Ianthe' print for the collection, giving it a fresh, contemporary graphic twist and a distinct nod to the 1960s.
The designs are the latest in a series of collaborations between the London store and renowned fashion brands from Italy, France and the USA – all part of its year-long Flower Power celebration, championing 'creativity, rebellion and love'.
'10 Corso Como for Liberty of London' comes in four colourways – yellow, pink, ecru and black. The women’s collection includes a sarong, shirtdress, summer hat, canvas bag and swimwear. In the menswear range is a classic shirt, tie and handkerchief, as well as summer hat and bag.
Carla Sozzani is a firm fixture on the Milanese fashion scene, like her sister Franca, editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia. The store began life in 1990, and now has branches in Seoul and Tokyo.
