Porro and Living Divani have opened a shared showroom in New York’s Flatiron District, a new space showcasing the two companies’ pieces in an elegant setting, alongside lighting by Flos and Davide Groppi and rugs by Kasthall.
Staged as a home, the Fifth Avenue duplex includes Porro’s modular storage systems and Living Divani furniture. The two companies’ designs combine in a domestic environment that brings them to life.
A study corner features the minimalist ‘Load-it’ shelving and 'Modern' cabinet systems, by Wolfgang Tolk and Piero Lissoni, respectively, along with the ‘Draped’ chair by Front, all for Porro
True to the multifunctional approach to the home that has characterised recent times, the entrance features a dining room that doubles as an office. It’s furnished with Piero Lissoni’s marble and wooden table, and chairs by GamFratesi, both for Porro, along with cupboards and other storage elements that can function as consoles or cabinets. The collections' rich materials and carefully considered designs offer an insight into the two companies' savoir faire: Porro's sublimely constructed storage systems expand into every corner of the home, while Living Divani's sofas exude an irresistible sense of domestic comfort.
In the master bedroom is a bed by Piero Lissoni for Living Divani next to the ‘Hub’ nightstands by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti for Porro. Lissoni’s wardrobe system for Porro defines the room
Throughout, Porro’s cabinets and wardrobes enhance the space’s architecture, with a particular focus on Lissoni’s ‘Modern’ and ‘Storage’ series (developed in collaboration with the company's research and development team), which are presented in several variations, featuring a variety of materials and finishes.
The New York showroom proposes elegant domestic solutions, and a double hit of fine furniture, as pieces by Front, and Gabriele and Oscar Buratti for Porro converse with designs by Michele Cazzaniga, Mist-o and Lissoni for Living Divani.
