A series of plywood panels hand screen-printed with iconic designs by legendary textile designer Alexander Girard are being released in the UK by SCP. Girard originally produced the artwork for Herman Miller’s Environment Enrichment Panel Program in 1971, to help enliven pieces of office furniture. The whimsical, minimalist illustrations, his last for the firm after 22 years of service, were so successful that they were later turned into collectable wall hangings. It’s easy to see why. These latest incarnations, at just £76 a pop, are welcome on our walls anytime.
